A leaked opinion of Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito suggests that the Supreme Court has enough votes to overturn the 1970s landmark precedence. The conservatives on the bench appear to agree with his opinion. Quite a few states have already put legislation to ban the termination of an unwanted pregnancy. It looks like Roe v. Wade is about to be canceled.
Protestors have been outside of the Supreme Court since the leak was announced late evening on May 2, 2022. Men and Women are up in arms about the change. It is incredible how people who have no skin in the game can decide the reproductive process. Alas, it is a political football because children’s life has no bearing in the argument. Children are born with addictions, mistreated, and suffer from malnutrition, but no one what’s to make that a focus.
Roe v. Wade is about the health and safety of women. Before the ruling, women were causing permanent damage to themselves. The death rate due to hemorrhaging after back-alley pregnancy terminations was a growing statistic. Sixty percent of pregnancy terminations are performed on Caucasian women.
When the controls of pregnancy termination roll back to the states, the welfare of female children will require monitoring. Child brides will start to rise. State legislation abortion laws make no exceptions for sexual assault or incest.
Roe v. Wade is about to be canceled, and there is no recourse to stop it.Today, pregnancy termination is still an option for women who need or want them. The opinions of the Supreme Court will not be finalized for some months to come. Roe v. Wade is about to be canceled and people will be heading to the polls and the streets objecting to the change that gave women the right to choose for nearly fifty years.
