Goals: New for 2022

Have you ever heard of the saying, you have to speak what you want into existence? I cannot tell you who coined the phrase, but I believe in it. It took a while to put together a real journey for the year. Here is what’s new for 2022:

Goal for 2022

  • I need to get back to doing live events. Meeting people in person is how I started to develop my fan base. Someone spoke with me, tried one of my books, and continues to support my writing endeavors and other things that I do.
  • I need to publish six books/works this year. I’m not forecasting as aggressively as I did the year prior because time management is of the essence, and the rule of any goal is to make it realistic.
  • I will be doing author exclusives on the podcast show. I experimented with group roundtables. The coordination was a bear, but all of my participants were satisfied with how they came across, and it was well-received by my audience. However, it’s difficult to coordinate multiple individuals for a forty-five-minute show. I’m thinking about calling the series Author chat. I will look for seasoned and newly published authors to chat about writing, their books, and motivation.
  • On my blog, I write about things that move me. Going forward, I will write more about my character development process and what makes a story worth telling. I’m not a niche person. Don’t get me wrong; I know that people talk about one subject from here until eternity and never get tired of it. I’m not that girl.
  • Improve my social media presence. Sure, I have followers across many platforms, but my engagement is limited. I mean, I engage, but not as much as I should. My engagement is well-received and positive. It needs to be enhanced to grow my following to help the conversion rate.

I know some of this sounds familiar because I’m a storyteller, and storytelling in written form is what I do. However, the approach is new for 2022. I am going to get it done.
