We have waited for over a year to get to February 3, 2020, for the beginning of the Democratic Primary Race. Iowans showed up and showed out. The Caucus took place. We still do not know how it ended. Could Iowa be an omen for how the 2020 races are going to go? Could Russia already have a hand in jamming up our electoral process? It is looming close to the twenty-four-hour mark with no results. Iowan officials announced that a partial count would be released at some point this afternoon. Since Iowa is the barometer that predicts who the nominee will be for the presidential race in November 2020, no answer, has everyone on the edge of their seats. We all want a clue.

Reports received from Iowa officials state there is a technical glitch in a new apps system. They rolled out this new app for efficiency. The purpose is to tally votes collected during the Caucus. The system was overloaded or malfunctioned causing precinct captains to resort to a manual counting method. It is because of instances such as this one give credence for a back-up paper ballot. It was put through the legislative branch two years ago and ignored by the Senate.

The next primary is one week from today. Every candidate is claiming victory in Iowa as they move onto New Hampshire. Has the Democratic National Committee appropriately prepared? All eyes are on Iowa as thoughts of deception and interference creep into the minds of the general public. We need answers as to why this glitch occurred and what are they going to do to prevent it from happening elsewhere as the primary races continue from state to state.

Could Iowa be an omen to a failed election season? Could it be a coincidence or something nefarious lurking in the shadows?
